Security Grade Protective Services, a company based in Denver that offers security services adapted to the legal cannabis industry, began accepting Bitcoin as a payment method to compensate for the lack of banking support for the industry and reduce the exorbitant fees imposed by the credit card companies.
However, Security Grade Protective Service is not the only company in the industry that has considered Bitcoin as an alternative to eradicate the barriers imposed by traditional payment methods. Among these is Trees, a company based in California that sells medicinal marijuana and fast delivery through drones, which began accepting Bitcoin as a payment method a few months ago.
