My Crypto Addiction

in #cryptocurrencies7 years ago

This is a bad time to be a crypto addict with the market in free fall.
I know I'm an addict because I keep wanting to check my currencies, and I angst about what the market is doing, and when nothing's happening, or prices are dropping like Trump drops White House staff I want to scratch up more money to buy while coins are cheap, only to find that they are getting cheaper still, which means I have to find more money to buy while they're cheap until ... and so the cycle goes.
But I still believe in cryptocurrencies and their potential to change the global financial sphere. Because when I look at the criticisms of cryptos, those critics call coins like Bitcoin worthless, but they also say that the blockchain is a great thing. And most of those critics work, or are linked, to the global financial establishment so whatever they say has to be taken with a grain of salt.
Then we have the ludicrous situation of Facebook and now Google banning all advertising associated with cryptocurrencies because bad things happen in the crypto world.
But when the GFC hit and revelation after revelation exposed the immoral, illicit, and illegal behaviour and practices that many many banks and financial institutions followed Google and Facebook didn't come out and ban all financial institutions from advertising their products and services.
Even a bank like Wells Fargo, who have been found to be criminally negligent, can still advertise on Google and Facebook. And while we're on Wells Fargo how does their CEO get a $4.6million pay rise for the year when they've been so crooked? For more on this you can check this article out: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/14/despite-woes-wells-fargo-gives-ceo-sloan-4-point-6-million-raise.html
So f**k Google and Facebook and their morality and do gooding when it suits. Hate groups and terrorists still use these sites and banks still accept funds from crooks and terrorists.
But it is cryptos that are singled out as the biggest evil on the internet!
This post is a rant but it is frustrating to see the hypocrisy of global monopolies trying to destroy the crypto world to further entrench their tentacles across the globe.
The best way I can think of fighting back is to keep supporting cryptos, ignoring the crap and continue to highlight the biased criticisms and fake news (couldn't help but use Trump's saying, but it works for him).
To the moon.

We will prevail Bruizer, no doubt about it. Maybe not every coin, but still.
Please make sure that you are not investing money that you cannot miss. I don't it will be the case but still I want to warn you about it.
I also have the temper to buy more and more and more but did set a rule for myself. I only purchase coins after my paycheck. Max x% of it, will be invested into cryptos. From then on it's waiting for a month, until the next one arrives. Rarely look at my blockfolio anymore. In stead of checking it each half hour, I'm no checking Steemit each half hour!
Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback, yep wait till the next paycheck rolls around before putting any more $$$ in. One thing I've done is stop buying lotto tickets, putting that money into cryptos instead, a far better chance of winning!
