Commentary:

Last Thursday and Friday the entire alt coin market surged. As is the case with many of these market surges, nearly all top coins rose to their highest levels ever. The market growth has slowed since the surge, which should be attributed to normal market correction after such a rapid acceleration.

The biggest surprise recently has been TRON, which rose to over 20 cents on Thursday. This coin has been trending upward at an aggressive pace in the past month. Seeing as the technology seems to be solid and the company seems to be well managed, there is no reason why it should not continue to do so (at least for the short term).

The most disappointing coin so far has been IOTA. Although not all coins can be expected to grow at rates of 200% per month, it is disheartening to see how stagnant IOTA has been recently, even through market surges. I still do think the technology has great potential. However, from an investing standpoint it might not be the best in the short-term. I also don't necessarily think its a great long-term investment, due to the fact that its not really known yet how successful the technology will be in application. However, this could be a big long term reward, albeit a risky one.

Where should I invest now?:

Some top choices right now would be Ripple, Cardano, TRON, Steem, Lisk, and Verge. Most or all of these have surged with the market recently and have grown tremendously as a result. I think these are great short term bets that could each see anywhere from 1x to 5x growth in the next 2 months.

For more long term investing, I think Ripple and Ethereum are top choices. Ethereum is the safest bet, as it has been proven to be one of the most successful platforms for this budding alt currency world. Ripple is a bit riskier, but still should be seen as a pretty safe investment. Both of these have enormous long term growth potential.
