While it may not be a scam in your opinion, it could be considered spam. Spam is not appreciated by the community and could be flagged or may result in action from the cheetah bot..
Some things that can be considered spam:
- Banner ads of any kind
- Referral links/codes
- Repeating the same post
- Links to known scams, phishing sites, and other dangerous links
haha complete abuse of power. There's an all-caps warning at the top pointing to the fact that this is affiliate marketed site and I'm pointing out the potential for profit with the caveat that we must be aware of any potential flags pointing toward fraud and that an exit strategy is a must-have.
Do you understand that your limited ability to cause a negative rating for the post makes it so that those with large pools of wealth have a voice for their affiliate-marketed content, but those without don't...? For example, if you can just negate a certain percentage of votes/vote power, then people who are upvoted immensely already promoting Bitconnect will continue to pull people into a platform that is actually much worse, due to the fact that users have to lock up their money for hundreds of days? Not to mention you're creating a 'rich get richer' system, which is really disheartening and doesn't send a great message to Steemit.
