Any advice for first timers who want to get it into the English teacher line of work? I applied to a different company last week could use some pointers before starting out.
Hi. One of the main things that I had to learn was to slow my voice down and speak calmly and clearly. Remember that most of your students wil have a low level of English so having patience is really important too. Also, make sure that you are working in a quiet environment and try to use props, actions and facial expressions to keep the class interesting. Dada ABC also have some example lessons on YouTube so it might be worth having a look at those. Good luck with your teaching!
