Crypto Bottom?!

in #crypto7 years ago (edited)

It looks like a possible bottom for this bear run at about $6000 for BTC and I am seeing fundamental buy signals. As of 8:45am EST 2/6/2018, I am personally making several purchases and getting back into larger positions. My holdings in STEEM have remained the same through the new-year dip, and I will also be adding to my account here on Steemit.com in order to Power Up.

I believe that this spring will bring a flourishing of the alt-coin market and the space as a whole will move in a fresher and healthier direction; we needed to shed some dead weight like Bitconnect, bunk mining operations and perhaps Tether will be the next to implode...

BTC, ETH and LTC will rebound significantly together around late February, early March. We may hear more inklings of the "flippening" this year, where another coin (or coins) take the place of BTC as majority market capitalization. The major contender for that kind of move would obviously be Ethereum. It seems LTC has not been terribly shaken by the major sell-offs last month but it will take some time for good news to reach this tenacious community again. Be prepared for Charlie Lee to allow a lot of time and work to transpire before making any serious announcements about the future of LTC. He did hint at a long period of bearish markets and uncertain partnerships but that the future generally is bright and full of potential.

This year will certainly be an exciting one for cryptos as it appears that the US stock market is in shape for a major decline. This means big and new money will look elsewhere for investment and long-term safety potential. The best time for entering major positions in the crypto market appears to be now! Get in there Steemians! And as usual, buy silver to back up your other investments and understand the long-term potential of both investments; it could be your family's financial future at stake!

For now we call it a decline because we compare it to the USD. I that scenario yes the losses have been massive . The question is if crypto becomes the future and replaces fiat . Will it really matter that it dropped vs the USD back in “2018”?

That is a very, very solid point. We only know those things in hindsight unfortunately. The potential for crpytos is absolutely gigantic and we know old fiat is dying... but how fast? All I know is that 1000 dollars to me last October still means about the same to me as 1000 dollars today (no run-away inflation or deflationary event quite yet for the dollar). But the meaning and value of crypto is still abstract in my mind and in practical use. So until then, it's kind of a casino game for me which is why I recommend holding equal amounts of silver! Physical precious metals have always been and always will be money no matter what is happening on earth!

perhaps Tether will be the next to implode...

Probably, i never got my money anywhere close to tether...
Keep the market as it is, i need to get more money to actually buy cryptos xD

The key to investing, is always to diversify. If one thing fails, you got some backup.

Exactly. The whole thing is a series of calculated risk and the more you spread out the risk, the easier it is to avoid and even profit on bad situations. Thanks @remotediscovery !
