Future Crypto: A list of projects with purpose
Blockchain technology extends far beyond currency and while the phrase “Bitcoin” is becoming a popular buzzword we are still in the infancy of Blockchain technology and that’s extremely motivating. In this crazy unregulated, penny stock, foreign exchange hybrid market there are many ways to evaluate a project.
Today I’ll be giving an un-biased overview of various utility-based projects. This is an ongoing list so please feel free to suggest any coins you would like me to add and provide your feedback in the comments section. My goal is for us to pool our knowledge of these projects together and make an informed decision whether or not to invest. Oh… and don’t hold back any punches.
Scope: The criteria for this list are projects that serve some purpose other than decentralising currency and have a reasonable maximum coin supply. They must provide a white paper, roadmap and a public git repository.
Limitations: This list doesn’t factor in market analysis, community support, partnerships or my personal opinions.
Stratis (STRAT)
Allows applications to be developed, tested and deployed on the blockchain using the C# programming language. The Stratis Academy provides an extensive knowledge base and resources for developers. The website provides use cases for real-world applications such as scientific publication tracking. Price: $4.75. Max coins: 94m.

TenX provide a debit card with an accompanying wallet, which can be funded by an ever-growing range of cryptocurrencies. Their physical and virtual debit cards can be used in almost 200 countries at over 36 million points of acceptance. To achieve this they leverage the COMIT network, and COMIT Routing Protocol and Cross-chain Payment Channels. Price: $0.90. Max coins: 200m.

A gaming platform that rewards you in crypto currency. Their games are available on mobile devices. Only one game exists currently but there are four in development. Price: $1.34. Max coins: 21m.
Blocknet (BLOCK)
The Blocknet aims to be the "internet of blockchains". It links blockchains together via a network overlay, a blockchain router and a p2p data transport, which could open up a world of possibilities in crypto. From what I gather it will appear as a blockchain "wrapper" and appear as a single entity on other platforms. They are currently bringing a decentralized exchange to market. Price: $10.50. Max coins: 3.9m.
Expanse (EXP)
Fork of Ethereum. This is a Blockchain-agnostic, community-based project. Expanse’s projects include services for identity (Borderless Identity Management System), equity (Tokenlab), commerce (EscrowLab), governance (DAOLab) and charity (Borderless Charity). Price: $1.69. Max coins: 16.7m.

Bitmark (BTM)

Their documentation will be strengthened by the addition of the List Academy. Price: $1.79. Max coins: 110m.
Particl (PART)
A crypto-currency-agnostic, decentralized marketplace that aims to free the market of the fees charged by middlemen in current, centralised online marketplaces. Particl addresses the issues with anonymous marketplaces and plans to avoid becoming the next silk-road by employing a self-governance system. Price: $5.30. Max coins: 8.6m.

An asset protocol on top of Bitcoin, using a fork of the Ethereum Virtual Machine for their smart contracts. Offers custom token creation, app-deployment and an exchange. There’s also talk of betting and financial derivatives. The lightning network will be employed for faster transactions. Price: $8.68. Max coins: ?.

Please up-vote and re-steem this post if you'd like to see more material like this in the future.
Thanks for the crypto list given by you.
Thanks for the generous BTC tip, who ever you are! I'm surprised it made it through today amidst the fork madness.
Thanks for mentioning Expanse. :)
Pleasure. I learned there was a lot more to Expanse than I realised. Keeping a close watch.
I would add onG coin to the list. Even though it's ICO has not yet started (starts on 11.08.17) it already has a working social media platform behind it called onG.social. IBM is also backing this project.
Agreed. This list has lots of undervalued coins from young projects. Ong coin belongs in that list
I'll add it if you re-steem?
Done :)
Legendary. Thank you. Time to research...
You are right anteroh ! ong.social has a real product and many users already using it. and it's adding more technologies over time. just check their website everybody for detailed info.
I have been seeing more and more onG enthusiasts! Definitely a great platform to get rid of censorship on social media
Yeah, migutip's right. I've also created a profile on onG and it looks pretty neat. Like their policy and that they are directly challenging mainstream social media : )
It is good to see so many positive comments abt ONG. I heard abt it from few frnds. I will be participating in the ONG ico
Thanks for the information of everything on your list it was Mystery (MYST)
VPN on the blockchain that caught my attention. That's not a bad idea :D I should look at it
For a first article, its a VERY good one. You've chosen the right subject aswell. Keep it up
Thanks, mate. First article anywhere, ever in-fact but it was great putting my research to good use. :)
Iconomi not Iconomy ;)
Thanks for that. I probably have a few mistakes in there. First article. Ever.
Expanse is the future.
This comment is based purely on the fact that its the only one i hold!
I hope you haven't put all your eggs in one basket...
No, i do hold others, just not any mentioned in your post. At the moment at least.
This is a solid list and all are worthy of research for long positions.
You'll want to check out BAT as well.
Blocknet only has 3,960,822. The rest of the coins are burned. This is the burned address: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/block/address.dws?1374.htm
thank you
Put a picture up bad boy
Good call.
