Paycheck to Blockchain: My Wild Crypto Spending Spree
I just went on a crypto spending spree—I spent almost an entire paycheck on cryptocurrency! It felt impulsive, but at the same time, I’ve been meaning to diversify my portfolio a bit more, so it didn’t feel completely reckless.
It was one of those days where I decided to just go for it and drop a good chunk of money into crypto. Nearly 70% of what I bought today went into Bitcoin Cash (mostly) and Litecoin, while the rest went toward memecoins and a few interesting up-and-coming projects. Spending like this reminds me that I’m fortunate to have enough disposable income to invest in speculative assets or just follow my whims. It’s a great position to be in, and I don’t take it for granted.
Out of all the memecoins and smaller projects I bought into, I tossed a few hundred dollars into Freysa AI! Pepe didn’t get any attention this time around—I skipped it entirely—but I did throw some money at Bonk. Bonk wasn’t even on my radar until recently, but I ended up grabbing some because I couldn’t resist how hilarious the name sounds. It might not be the smartest strategy, but sometimes gut instinct and humor win out.
Of course, I also threw a little extra into Dogecoin to rebuild my reserves there. It’s been a while since I seriously added to my Doge holdings, so I figured it was a good time to start stacking again while prices are still favorable.
