Lay Down A Monster - Long Term Trends For BO$$ Profits

in #crypto7 years ago (edited)

The famed Hedge Fund Manager and Host of Mad Money Jim Cramer among many others believe that Long Term Investments are best when utilizing trends in the market that are likely to increase profits or value in the future. Blockchain is a disruptive force to many industries and while new to the general public, the future trends of crypto disruption due to current limitations are almost obvious. We are still very early on in the crypto revolution so while the recently short term volatility will leave some cringing at the potential loss of three stacks of high society, the steady players will allow the trends over the long term to play out to new market highs and "Flop The Nut Straight" while waiting in the end for Teddy KGB and Grama from the movie Rounders to say "Pay That Man His Money $$$"

Below are some trends that I believe will play out over the next few years allowing you to "Lay down a monster." Don't let the traders "Check, Check Check" then trick you into selling and feeling like a "Young man coming in for quickie. You'll feel so unsatisfied" These trends in my opinion should play out over time unless something breaks down the trend making the thesis invalid. While this is not financial advice, my experience during my former life of finance / investments at Morgan Stanley and Vested Capital Partners leads me to focus on 2-3 in each industry. In business, there is always room for choice and investment returns typically increase for those businesses that are succeeding chasing the #1 in their industry as there is more room to grow.

Disclosure: I own all those mentioned below in varying amounts due to my belief in the long term trends of Digital Payments, Decentralization, Privacy, Cross Border Payments / Remittances, and Platforms of the Blockchain. I have written other posts "3 Favorite Long Term Picks" on Stellar, Bitshares, NEO, and individual blogs about Binance, Safex and others, so my explanation of Digibyte will go further into detail but am a personal investor and believer in all mentioned.

Digital Payments - Blockchain (Potential $100 Trillion Mkt Cap)
The Current Money System appears to be finally changing from mail to email. Fast, Secure Payments Across the Globe at the click of a button.

Coins of Focus:
Bitcoin (This includes BTC, BCH etc.) - No explanation needed - The King
Litecoin - No explanation needed. The Silver To Bitcoins Gold
Digibyte - The next great blockchain?
I love all three, but my favorite investment pick is "Digibyte" It is slightly riskier, but more secure, more decentralized, cheaper and faster. Many people have said that blockchain technology is more important than Bitcoin itself. Digibyte has the best of both worlds as the longest running block, 15 second blocks, its own 5 algorithm blockchain and lightning fast transaction speeds at fractions of a penny. The upcoming release of its IOS App Wallet will help bring it to the masses on its 700 Million Iphones and other smart phones for personal and corporate adoption. As the trend grows, larger percentages of payments will be made and accepted by individuals and corporations so scalability is vital. Digibyte is capable of changing the game and It has the most upside at a current value of $350 Million down from a high of around $1.65 Billion. It has begun to receive some worldwide media exposure and could provide staggering returns if executed properly for personal or business micropayments. You do not have to be #1 to have the best investment returns.

Decentralization - Exchanges, Social Media etc.. Cybersecurity, Hacking and Privacy are major concerns. We have seen recently through Facebook, Google, Amazon that our information is no longer ours and through Equifax that it can be easily stolen. Our information should be private, secure and owned by us.

Exchanges: Bitshares, Binance (Largest exchange working on decentralization) & OX
(See my past blog posts on both Bitshares and Binance)
Social Media: Steem, Steem Dollars - Most Active Blockchain, Great contender to FB, YouTube etc..
Privacy Coins: Monero (Few others like Verge, ZCash to consider)
***Wildcard
Market Place: Safex (At the moment this is risky and completely speculative like most brilliant long term projects without a working platform available to the public, but has massive potential. The concept is a homerun if anything is remotely executed by Dan Dabek and his team. This could be the Field of Dreams of Crypto.. If you build it, he will come. See my past blog post on Safex)

Cross Border Payments - Remittances
Sending Money Across Borders Typically incurs major percentage fees, Exchange Rates in countries are different, Paying international employees, vendors can be very difficult. No Longer.

Coins of Focus:
Stellar Lumens, Omisego

Platforms - ICO's, Smart Contracts, DAPPS
Coins of Focus: NEO, EOS (Great Tech like all Dan & Stan Larimer Projects. Scalable for Corporate Enterprise!!), Ethereum

NEO.png

Overall, the trends of Digital Payments, Decentralization, Privacy, Cross Border Payments and Platforms for the new economy will likely allow you to "splash the pot whenever you feel like." While the majority of the over 1500 crypto's will eventually fail, many of the names above are creating great communities with strong brand recognition and are well positioned for the future. We are still very early, but we should see more and continual adoption take place over time leading to higher values, so while there are many great short term opportunities in other projects, the trends and solutions to real world problems make these investment ideas ideal for the long term so you can sit there thinking "You satisfied now, I can go on busting you up all night."
