Google & Facebook BANS Crypto Ads - Is this fair??? ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก

Hi Steemers...

So as of June 2018 Google will follow Facebook and ban crypto related advertising on their platform. The extent of the ban is unknown and its unclear if it will also cover youtube content. Below are some of the articles if you interested. Luckily we have steemit and dtube ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Is this fair??? Both Google and Facebook have immense marketing power which will definitely result in slower crypto adoption and awareness. I dont think its fair to censor content ๐Ÿค๐Ÿค like this... What do you think? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

I dont think so

Is this really a problem?
Don't you think this offers Steemit and Dtube to a chancethrive?

Nevertheless Steemit should remodel and
launch the highly anticipated SMT so Steem and Steem dollars could be the new money.

fair point... Steemit for the win

I understand it completely coins in the blockchain are right now considered equivalent to stock by the US (thank Trump for locking the little guy out)....

Just like you are not allowed to participate in an Initial Stock Offering (ISO) with out being a qualified investor and financial Instruments are not allowed to be advertised because of the Legal and Liability Headaches that they would open Google up to (like porn, smoking, alcohol and firearms) they make enough money with out them.

Its simple and probably fatal-compli.

Considering what those two companies do, they should ban themselves.

I don't think it's fair but I approve of their choice. A lot of paid ads were by schemers promising 1000%+ return and stealing money from people with fake ICO launches. A lot of people were conned and it's not correct to promise a guaranteed return when there's nothing guaranteed about it. More monitoring is a more appropriate option but until the sector becomes more mature, and more people better educated on it, it's the right move.

i see your point... I'm still against a full ban tho... a partial ban I can understand

Do you think they're doing it to prevent people knowing about crypto currencies and how they can be used?

yes i think so

yes , i dont understand what is the puspose of banning crypto ??

its unfair and very aggressive for a growing space... they should rather look to understand it can try to ban certain aspects like ICOs for example

its corect what you are saying . Lets see what will happen :) I`m following you so i will wait for new updates

aquรญ no esperamos nada beno

it's an unfair decision in my opinion.

Thanks again, Mark Fuckerberg (asshole)...

They are jealous and afraid to lose their business. Consider them as the multinationals and Steemit the new populair way of social media getting more and more new accounts everyday. For them....that sucks.

in the short term... google and facebook are powerful enough to slow the crypto space down... but they cant stop it

Google announced to invest 500 million in the Netherlands. Tax paradise for big companies.
