Why I chose Crypto20 as the first ICO to invest in
I've consolidated all of my crypto (sold alts for BTC and ETH) and put all of my BTC and ETH into crypto20!
Their white paper is what really sold me after hearing about them on the ico alert podcast. They tested various scenarios before landing on an index that tracks the top 20 coins with a weekly rebalancing.
The coolest part about this ICO is that the tokens will have a Net Asset Value (NAV).. which you can liquidate your token for at any time. This value is tied to the actual fund itself. So the tokens have a real value versus speculation driving price for a lot of other ICO's out there. I'm gonna guess that they will probably be able to fetch a premium once they are on the exchange.
All my questions were pretty much answered in their white paper, one of the big ones had to do with why they were only minting a fixed amount of coin during the ICO and then not creating any more in the future? It's due to the fact that if the fund grows too large, it will be difficult to rebalance without paying a premium based on the current market liquidity.
Anyone else invest in this? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
So, I'm somewhat biased as I am a named advisor to Crypto 20, BUT I have been very impressed by the team. The idea behind the project is fundamentally sound - the white paper is testament to that - I am an old school Ph.D. scientist and I know how to run experiments to validate or refute new theories - These guys did a great job and testing out the variables and then determining the best deterministic approach to defining HyperParameters to "manage" then fund. The pricniciples that they are using have applications in many different areas, but this, the Cryptocurrency Index fund driven by data science is almost like a perfect storm of technology, insight , knowledge and drive to make it happen. This idea is fundamentally RIGHT ... the team are working extremely well to implement it ... and deliver a huge amount of value to all that they touch. Its pretty cool ... these sorts of opportunities don't come along very often... tell your friends .
I know I've told everyone I know about it basically! Got a few going all in with me as well :)
