Digital currency for payments

The Japanese Mizuho Financial Group plans to introduce a digital currency that can be used for payments. The required fees will be significantly lower than credit card fees. Furthermore the bank brought about 60 national banks on board to promote cashless payments. The token will be a stable coin fixed to yen. This is a next step for mass adaption of #blockchain and #crypto.
