RE: Ep. #524- Main DarkNet Site: Silk Road 2.0? / German GrubHub Accepting BTC / Just The Beginning!
@crypt0 - I notice you are very bullish on Bitcoin in your last video, particularly commenting that "SegWit will bring great things".
Conversely, I have been waiting for an entry point post-August 1, because I'm expecting it to be the trigger for the overall repeat of the larger up/down cycle in crypto you noted several episodes back with this chart:
I have some grave and specific concerns about SegWit, and I think it's an absolutely horrible "upgrade". I have posted some good points on it here (note that this post is payout completed, so not trying to promote my own post here), but to TLDR it, SegWit violates the white paper and is exactly the opposite of what Satoshi expressly told us to do therein:

To rephrase, specifically I would love it if you could reconcile your call in episode 523 that we could be "near a 3x-4x pop" and your bullish sentiment on SegWit, with your chart above and my post above.
PS - If you think they are the two main possibilities, what do you think the relative percentage likelihoods are?
PPS - Love the videos, and is that Mario 64 music I hear during the first 10 seconds of your videos in the background?
I completely agree with the points @lexiconical brought up. There's a recent "let's talk bitcoin" episode here where AA tries to argue why segwit is an 'upgrade' but rather unconvincingly IMO.
I left quite a view comments countering his support -- the kind of things that he conveniently didn't bring up.
I can't get over the fact that Satoshi literally told us to do the exact opposite in the white paper, and yet somehow, via a well-oiled propaganda effort, even very well-informed people like @crypt0 think it is actually anything but terrible.
dont miss the cheap boat ;)
Hah, indeed, that is my concern.
I'm not even getting near Bitcoin until Oct/Nov.... Maybe I'm too bearish but there are just too many things that can go wrong, scare people away, cause confusion. The fragmentation could be deadly.
Look what segwit did to litecoin.. how can it be bad for bitcoin?
I think I'd feel pretty great about loading up at, say, $1200ish...which, with Bitcoin, could be a few days away or even potentially never.
I'm thinking. The worse case scenario for Bitcoin after Aug 1 is what happened to Etherium. It gets split. The popular one goes boom and the other one stagnates.
There is always the other alt coins. I'm converting some BTC to Litecoin , Dash and ETH
