Cryptid Hunter – Clarification on Game Revenue and STEEM Ecosystem

1. Revenue Distribution Structure and Misconceptions

Cryptid Hunter allocates 40% of all payments directly to a reward pool, which is distributed to users through seasonal ranking rewards and other mechanisms. Several thousand STEEM have already been distributed transparently to the community.

The total payment amount since launch is 8,404 STEEM, including internal testing. While this may seem large, it's significantly lower than most other P2E services. This shows that the return on effort is low on STEEM, and that’s why few new projects launch on this chain.

2. Why There Is No NOVA–STEEM Swap

The lack of a swap system is due to STEEM's technical limitations, not lack of effort. Without smart contracts, it’s difficult to implement automated swaps like on other chains.
We are currently developing and testing an alternative system.

3. Who Are the Paying Users?

Most paying users are Korean players and TON version users. STEEM-native users are generally reluctant to spend, which may reflect platform culture or structure.

4. User Behavior in the STEEM Ecosystem

Many STEEM users act like bounty hunters — expecting to earn without paying. Even users who earn hundreds of STEEM often hesitate to spend just 1 STEEM for energy.
This is due to Steemit’s free mining model through posting and curation, which discourages paid engagement.

5. The Reality of P2E Games

P2E games do not guarantee profit to all players. Rewards go to the most engaged and high-performing users.
Cryptid Hunter is one of the few games that offers STEEM rewards by integrating Steemit’s curation model.

6. Honest Thoughts on the STEEM Ecosystem

Although users advocate for STEEM's growth, there is little true support for new initiatives. Many focus on pointing out flaws instead of helping improve things.
STEEM has developmental limitations, but we continue to work within those to foster innovation and sustainability.

Cryptid Hunter – Our Goals on the STEEM Blockchain

These are our responses to some questions users have raised about Cryptid Hunter and our broader efforts on the STEEM blockchain.

What Are We Trying to Achieve on the STEEM Blockchain?

1. Changing User Perception on STEEM

After years of developing and operating services on STEEM, we believe the blockchain cannot grow without a shift in user perception.

There’s an ongoing dilemma:

“There are no attractive services on STEEM.”
vs
“There’s no environment where attractive services can be built.”

This cycle will not break on its own.
To challenge that, we migrated Cryptid Hunter from TON — where it performed well — to STEEM.

But the outcome showed the current reality:
STEEM user engagement was less than 1% of what we saw on TON.

STEEM has strong potential with systems like curation and DAO governance, but these are not being fully utilized. We hope users start to recognize and activate these strengths.

2. The Limitations of a Pure Bounty-Hunter Culture

STEEM makes it easy to mine and earn through curation.
But many users treat it as a mining tool only, with little real interaction or support for others.

Compared to other chains, STEEM's user network and community structure is weak.
The system is highly individualistic and lacks shared momentum.

3. Our Ongoing Commitment

We will continue to build and release new services on STEEM, starting with Cryptid Hunter.
And we will share the results transparently.

We hope this becomes a spark for growth and change in the STEEM ecosystem.

노바 토큰과 스팀의 스왑 거래는 없군요ㅠ;
