God listens to us at all times, our prayers are received by our father, he acts with power and wisdom.

When the time came to offer the burnt offering, the prophet Elijah came and said: Jehovah, God of Abraham, of Isaac and of Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that at your command I have done all these things. 37 Answer me, Jehovah, answer me, so that this people may know that you, O Jehovah, are God, and that you turn their hearts back to yourself. 38 Then fire from Jehovah fell and consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones and the dust, and even licked up the water that was in the trench. 39 When all the people saw it, they fell prostrate and said: Jehovah, he is God, Jehovah, he is God! (WE CAN READ IT COMPLETELY)

1 Kings 18:36-39

God has put in our hands a great privilege, the opportunity to cry out in prayer to him to receive everything we need and everything he has prepared for us, and he promised that he will answer every cry of his children. He also urges us to intercede for other people, let us remember that the word of God tells us that the prayers of the righteous, that is: those who have been justified, have a great reach.

16 Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can do much.

James 5:16

To work with power we must first recognize the work of God in our favor, recognize the salvation offered through his son, this reminds us that before that redemption we were simply sinners and enemies of God, committed to eternal judgment. But through faith in Jesus Christ and his work on the cross we have been made new, we have been declared holy before God, after this it is necessary that we align our prayers with the will of God.
Let's look at the picture of Elijah (it would be interesting to read the entire chapter). The Lord sent him to defeat and also in one aspect to humiliate the king Ahab and his prophets of Baal who numbered about 450. This has been a visible but deeply spiritual conflict, Elijah would demonstrate who the true God was through a supernatural act in front of the very entourage of the god Baal.
He did not have carnal weapons, his most powerful weapon was the knowledge of God's plan and his faith that he would do something in his favor, Elijah had authority because he knew that he was a prophet of God. His desire and his request to God was that he make himself known publicly to those who were his adversaries, this coincides perfectly with the will of God.

37 Answer me, O Lord, answer me, so that this people may know that you, O Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back to you.

1 Kings 18:37

Immediately after God's response to the request of the prophet Elijah, the people recognized and declared: Jehovah is God, Jehovah is God!

39 When all the people saw it, they fell down and said: Jehovah is God, Jehovah is God!

1 Kings 18:39

Let us remember that we are children of God, that we have power and authority in our prayer when these are aligned with the will of God, there is no doubt that God will work and respond in our favor.
