Even when it seems that God is not acting or that everything is still and absolutely nothing happens, God is always working for our good.
Show me your ways, O Lord;
Teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth, and teach me,
For you are the God of my salvation;
I have hoped in you all day long.
Psalm 25:4-5
Day after day we are faced with choices, every day we choose the path that takes us from one place to another, we can choose whether to move towards Christ or the path that leads us to the place where we do not know what awaits us, and which may simply be problems and pain.
13 Enter through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter through it. 14 For narrow is the gate and difficult is the road that leads to life, and few are those who find it.
Matthew 7:13-14
Although we know that through the word of God He is always ready and willing to offer us the best in the best direction, not everything always happens as we expect it to happen. There are times when God allows things to happen to get our attention, because when everything is fine we tend to forget about Him. But when we have problems, fear is simply like a magnet that attracts us to Him, it is not necessary that it always be like this, we can align our steps to the will of God and have our ears and heart attentive to what He has for us, to His voice.
That prolonged waiting time that seems endless to us, is also a preparation that we can take that comes from God. God is in control of everything and all things, He executes everything to carry out His will. God always has a lot of work to do in us, there are times when it gets out of our hands and we cannot control it, we do not have the power and ability to control the future but God does. Let us receive his direction and put into practice our faith in his promises, understanding that everything will go well for us.
We are impatient in our country and we want everything to happen when we want it, we can run the risk of going outside of God's time, of going outside of his will and also of missing out on his blessings. But we can also wait on God to give us direction and a clear image of his will to walk in peace according to his promises. Are you up for it?
