Community Property Management Chaos: The Clash Between Cronyism and Homeowner Rights

Recently, the property management in our community has once again disappointed everyone. Without the consent of the residents, the property management replaced the community’s water supplier, removing the original qualified supplier. What’s worse is that the new supplier turned out to be a relative of the property management. This blatant act of cronyism disregards the rights and opinions of the residents.

As homeowners, we should have the right to choose our suppliers, but the property management has abused its power for personal gain, completely ignoring our interests. Furthermore, the new supplier's water quality and service are far inferior to the previous one, with frequent issues. Some residents have even reported feeling unwell after drinking the water.

Our community’s property management has had many issues over time, but this move is truly excessive. I hope more residents can stand up and unite against this lack of transparency and fairness, urging the property management to focus on serving the community rather than using it as a tool for their own benefit. What we need is a property management that genuinely serves the residents, not one that prioritizes personal profits.

I wonder if communities in other countries also face similar issues. Do property management companies elsewhere make arbitrary decisions without consulting the homeowners, turning public affairs into opportunities for personal profit? Some say that property management abroad is more regulated and transparent, with major decisions being discussed and voted on by the residents in advance. Is this the norm? I would love to learn about property management systems in different countries and how they balance the relationship between management and homeowners. Perhaps we could draw from their experiences to make our community’s management more open and fair.
