RE: Crochet Earring - 11 February 2025
I have a lot of "red" as well. I hoped it would be thicker to make a sweater out of it but as it arrived (I ordered it online quiet expensive) I already saw that it wasn't the colour my child would like. I could make a lot of earrings out of it.
I wonder what: Galentine's Day or even Palentine's Day stand for (The G and the P).
Aren't the earring heavy?
Thank you for your comment @wakeupkitty
It's hard to buy online. You can always double the yarn to make it thicker. I've done that with 4-ply (fingering) yarn successfully; it's sort of becomes like Double Knitting (or worsted) thickness.
Galentine is from a US show so it must come from 'gal' ('girl') so Galentine's Day is 'friendship day amongst girls' (of any age).
Palentine must surely come from 'pal' which is another word for 'friend' as in pen pal.
I weighed the earring to answer your question more accurately but my domestic scales didn't even register the weight so I reckon about about 1 g at most.
