Form Guide

The GABBA should provide a decent pitch although it's noticeable that the last 3 games completed at this venue have all been won comfortably by the side batting 2nd. If the side that bats 1st can post a par score then I think we should be in for a high scoring game but early season form makes that difficult to predict.

The Heat definitely have the power in their batting line-up to score big runs while the changes to The Thunder squad over the close season make them something of an unknown quantity. However, they can call upon the experience and class of Usman Khawaja and Alex Hales at the top of the order and their chances of making a score here will rest largely upon those 2.

I would have included the recent head to head results in the stats above but both fixtures in last season's competition between these 2 sides were rain effected making the aggregate scores very low indeed. Brisbane is known for its tropical downpours, will lightning quite literally strike 3 times in a row? If so a low guess could well end up the winner!
