The morning came fast and surprising and I remembered we were told not to cook in the hotel .Since I was hungry and hadn't eaten any thing last night because of the rumour that the hotel kitchen was full of cockroaches which lived in and under pots .I decided that despite these rumors I couldn't miss my breakfast. I immediately placed an order for well seasoned fried rice and chicken coupled with tea ,bread and butter. Getting hungry anytime I remember that I fell asleep.
For something like 2 hours i had dosed off and woke up to the dream of food . And I saw nothing I was so angry that the atmosphere was already hot .Then I calmly waited for what seemed like ages unknowingly I slept again woke up suddenly because of inexpressible hunger and anger I called the customer care to explain the situation but they just started speaking English to express how sorry they were because they forgot.
Now its past 3pm and I hadn't eaten since yesterday I was red with anger .A sudden thought occurred to me and I was cool as ice I remembered I had smuggled a sizable gas cooker and some food ingredients to the hotel in case the hotel guys failed me . I locked my room and checked for security cameras but there was none .Finding the coast clear I began operation one: To cook. I prepared everything and set to cooking fried rice .The hunger was too much for me to bear that I slept for the third time forgetting everything .
I woke up coughing . I was so confused of everything. Then I remembered , and began opening the thick curtains. Fear gripped upon me the way you hold the handle of a bike .I managed to find a way to put off the fire from the gas cooker and started thinking of operation two :Escape plan . After seeing my shirt start to burn I burst out of the room like a bolt of lightening managing to carry some of my valuables when some attendants who were supposed to be fire fighters try to put out the fire . Off I went and out of the hotel gate frantically huffing and puffing without knowing that my commotion had attracted some escorts who were security men .
I started throwing some of the things I was holding to become lighter like my caps,bunch of clothes and medals away . I had remaining my wallet which contained thousands of naira .I started becoming tired and I fell down to the ground ,my race had attracted a stadium of onlookers. I couldn't feel my feet and I looked back to see security men huffing and puffing to me I just started weeping. They took me back to the hotel to show me the ruins I had caused , I carried my eyes up to see the hotel burning from my room. I later began stammering with these words "Had I Known Will Always Come At Last Just For hunger the evil of the world" .
