How I Spent My Day | 29-05-2025

Greetings, dear friends, and welcome to my blog. It is another beautiful day of the week, and I'm delighted to share with you all how I spent my day. As usual, this has become a normal routine for me because it helps me to keep track of my daily activities. Today, as always, I will want to share with you all how my previous day went.

It was a Thursday morning, and as usual, it was a period when we attended our internship programme and also worked to showcase the things we had been working on over the week. The centre encourages everyone to have a publication before the end of their programme, so we all tend to work towards that.

As of yesterday, Dr Ojo also reviewed the journal I submitted to him for vetting before I could send it to the group in charge of publication for review and acceptance. Some minor corrections were made, and I'm yet to implement it because he attended to me very late yesterday and because I needed to come back home and do some work for myself; I just left it and will work on it within the weekend.

When I came back home, I decided to make beans and eat because it had been a while since I had such food. While cooking, I remembered that I will be going to work the next day as early as possible, and for that reason, I decided to rush to a shopping mall which was very close to my residence to buy some snacks like bread and biscuits, which I will take to work because I will be needing it to eat during the break.

I came back home, and my food was ready, so I went ahead and dished out a little and then ate and decided to rest my head because I would be going to work as early as 4 a.m. the next day. It is never an easy task, but we keep pushing because that is the only way forward. So that was how I spent my day.

Hey @simonnwigwe, thanks for sharing a glimpse into your day! It's inspiring to see your dedication to both your internship and personal projects. The commitment to your publication is admirable, and I'm sure Dr. Ojo's feedback will be invaluable. That beans dish sounds delicious after a long day. Balancing your internship with personal needs and future planning shows great discipline. Keep up the fantastic work. I can't wait to see your publication when it's out! What topic did you explore in your journal?
