How I spent My Day | 29-04-2025

Hi guys,
It's another day of the week, and I am so delighted to share with you all how I spent my previous day. It was a Tuesday, the 29th day of the month of May 2025. It was a day set aside for us to present our work in the form of a poster, and also a day we called Research Kitchen day, where people within the field of AI enlighten us more about trends in the world.

I prepared early and went to school because I needed to meet up with those who hadn't printed theirs so as to assist them in doing the entire thing. I wrote but couldn't post because I was waiting for the usual time I usually make my post to make it.

Because of how busy the entire thing was, I didn't even remember until around some minutes passed the hour of 10 that I went ahead to make my post. We also went ahead to start the program because we had some guest speakers who couldn't wait for us for longer because they also have their own commitments.

So we had the section and finished around 12 p.m., and then we had a 1-hour break after which we went ahead to start the poster presentation. We all had our various stands with our posters hung, and the various lecturers coming and asking questions one after the other. We were all attended to by one more lecturer, where you will have the opportunity to explain your topic for at most 3 minutes each.

I was attended to and so was every other MRes student, and after the entire thing, we went outside the building in a wider space to have a picture, which was like a memory of what we had done. Everyone was quite happy because we had been able to achieve something tangible by finishing one module completely.

I went back to the laboratory much later after the whole event to meet one of my coursemates who is also a good programmer. I showed him what I had and then pleaded with him to go ahead and help me debug the issues with the system, which he did. Though he believed that the system is a bit complex at the moment, and suggested that I should start something small first, like a little basic, before I can move further.

It was a wonderful section with him and I was also able to detect the reason why my system has been very slow. I was able to fix all of that and it is now working perfectly. I came back home tired and exhausted. After microwaving some food and eaten it I went ahead to take my bath and then started working on my assessment 3. I was able to do a little before I slept off. So that was how I spent my day.
