How I Spent My Day | 19-05-2025
Hello everyone,
It's a brand new day, and I'm delighted to share how I spent my previous day. It was a Monday, and my holiday had started in earnest, so I needed to rest very well at home, though I have a lot of work I'm currently doing at the moment. But since I don't have to compulsorily attend a lecture or go to school, that became a relief to me.
So yesterday I was home just resting and then going through my social handles after the usual morning routine of prayers, writing, and cleaning my room. I had a call from Mr Christian that I should please help him come with his glasses because he left them in my house yesterday when he visited. I wasn't planning to go out, but I had to because he needed me to go to work.
When I came back to my room, I wanted to rest, but a friend from Nigeria who was working on her final master's dissertation called me to help her work on the different corrections made by her supervisor. So we started the work, and it took us more than 5 good hours to sort out the entire thing. I was so exhausted with the work, but I needed to help her because she has always been on my neck, which also doesn't allow me to focus on mine, but concluding hers will give me a free chance to concentrate on mine.
Immediately we finished, I rushed to the kitchen to microwave the little leftover rice I had because I was very famished. I ate and then rested for a while because I have always wanted to rest. I slept for about an hour, then I woke up and took my bath, and then went back to my laptop. At about 8 p.m. I decided to watch the Liverpool game and ease stress.
When I finished watching my match, I had a chat with a few friends, and we went ahead to discuss the activities we will be holding the next day, which is my birthday. However, I have no plans of celebrating it because I have a lot already that I am working on. I also had an interview meeting that I will be having online for a job. So my interest was more in how I could get a good job during this period and save up for my PhD programme.
Those were the activities I had for the day. It was a hectic yet very impactful day for me because I was able to achieve a whole lot, though not for myself, but for others. That made me so happy because I was able to put a smile on the lives of as many people as possible.
