How I Spent My Day | 13-05-2025

Hello guys,
I welcome you all to my blog today. It was indeed a wonderful opportunity to share with you all how I spent my day doing my first official work here in the UK. If you have been following my blog, you will notice that I have been talking about job hunting for a while now.

As of yesterday, I officially got a shift of my own to work in a food production warehouse. I had earlier worked there before, but it wasn't official because I went to cover for someone who didn't come for his shift. So in the case of yesterday, I was privileged to start my own shift directly from the agency.

The work was scheduled to start at exactly 6:00 a.m., and we are expected to be there at least 15 minutes before the time. I left home by 4:00 am, hoping to arrive there before the start time, but the boss delayed a bit, so we arrived at exactly 5 minutes before the hour of 6. We were issued a query but were still allowed to work.

It was intensive work, which took us almost 9 hours to complete our shift. We had two breaks in between these times, which were at least 30 minutes each, meaning we had a total of 1 hour break. It was indeed a wonderful opportunity for us, and I must say I enjoyed myself working in that place.

We finished and then took a bus back home around 4, which took us a little time to arrive because of the route that the bus took. Immediately when I arrived home, I microwaved the spaghetti I had, took my bath, and then went to bed. I slept for a long time because I was so tired.

I woke up thereafter to have a chat with a few of my friends and colleagues. I also looked at my assessment a little and decided to add a few corrections that were pointed out during my presentation. It wasn't an easy task, but I thank God for the grace given to me. My task now is to put the paper in the IEEE format for publication. So that was how I spent my day.
