How I Spent My Day | 12/05/2025

It was indeed a beautiful moment for me as a person because it was a day that I officially finished my first semester course work as a student of master's by research here in the university of Greater Manchester UK.

It was a day set aside for our final presentation and I am delighted to present my work which was on comparative prediction of uterine cancer using clinical and genomic data. Here in this work I compared 4 different machine learning algorithms to check which is more effective in predicting uterine cancer.

It was a regression problem and for that reason during my presentation I got a correction from professor Iwendi and Professor Pradeep that I'm not supposed to use the support vector machine for the analysis as it performed very poor instead I should apply support vector regression since it is a regression problem.

Another valid correction on my work was that I was supposed to show a comparison of previous work done in that field and my findings which makes my work novelty. I included that in my main work but didn't have the opportunity to add it to the PowerPoint presentation so I was also guided in that aspect.

After the presentation I was asked to work on those corrections and then put the work in IEEE format so that the centre will help me publish the work as it is a beautiful research that needed to be out there for adoption by medical practitioner in order to detect and possibly address uterine cancer timely to avoid severe issues happening to the patient.

I was so fufllied seeing that my work turns out beautiful and I went ahead to assist my colleagues and also worked on the side of the projector to ensure all those who come to present do that beautifully. It was indeed a beautiful experience and I'm delighted to have such an experience.

I came back home a bit late tired and exhausted and since I have another task the next day I needed to rest my body. I took soup from the fridge and microwaved it and my self and Salome went ahead to eat and then I went back to my room and slept because I needed to prepared for the big day of the next day. That was how I spent my day guys.
