How I Spent My Day | 11-06-2025

Greetings, guys, and welcome to my blog today. It's a new day, and as usual, I want to report on my activities from the previous day. Yesterday was Wednesday, and a day set aside for my lecture as an MRes student here at the University of Greater Manchester, UK. It's already the second semester, and the journey is towards to fulfillment of the MRes in computing.

Before going to school, I had initially submitted assessment 1 a day before, and Wednesday, being the lecture day, was a day for presentation. So I had to prepare the PowerPoint for the presentation for my group, since it is a collaborative research project, whereas the other group members will make the presentation.

Before going to the school, I had to do a few things here at home, such as cleaning up my room and also doing some laundry, because It had been a while since I did any of these things. So I seized the opportunity of my being at home since my lecture is scheduled to start in the afternoon to do the work. Immediately, I was done. I went ahead and posted the article I had for the day.

I ate and prepared, and entered the school. When I arrived at the Centre for Intelligence Laboratory, I went straight to work on the presentation because I hadn't done that before going to school. I took about an hour to prepare the slide, then I shared it with a few of my friends to go ahead and read through, because questions may come to any of us.

After a few hours, I started looking for the gadgets needed to carry out my analysis. I'm working on IoT and AI, and the hardware needed includes the Arduino Uno and a few sensors. We weren't able to get everything, but we got most of the needed devices, so we will make an order for the others. We went to the class, and then we had a very interactive section where we discussed building an app collaboratively.

I closed from class around 4:00 p.m., then my friend branched out to the shopping mall close to the school, where I bought a few things that I needed to cook. I came back home and made spaghetti and beans, and then ate very well because I only took in junk in the morning before going to school.

I rested there after cooking and eating, and taking my bath. I stayed on my laptop setting up my Arduino IDE and making a few research notes, and reviewing a few literature related to the problem my research project was trying to answer. I slept thereafter, and that was how I spent my day.
