How I Spent My Day | 06-06-2025

Greetings, dear friends, and welcome to my blog once again. It is another beautiful day of the week, and I'm delighted to share with you all how I spent my previous day. Yesterday was Friday, which is the last working day of the week, and even for us as students, it's the last day of the week that we usually attend lectures.

Yesterday, I decided to go to work because I had a shift. Usually, I work in a warehouse where, some weeks, I have up to 2 shifts covering about 18 hours. Here in the UK, students have a standard law to work just for 20 hours every week to support them in their education in terms of fee payment, accommodation, and food. So, since last month, after my first semester, I have been getting shifts once or twice a week.

I always go for the morning shift, and yesterday the shift started at 6:00 a.m., so I left my home around 4:00 a.m. because the place is a bit far and takes almost an hour and 40 minutes. I arrived at the place 10 minutes before the start time, and then I joined them to work all through.

The work allows for two breaks of 30 minutes each, and during the first break, I always make my publication, and that is the reason you will sometimes notice that my post will expire without a replacement immediately. Most times, the break doesn't come when it should, and for that reason, I may delay in posting because phones are not allowed.

I closed from work at 3:00 p.m., and when I came back home, I decided to microwave the little food I had left and eat, then took my bath, and then went on to do a little research because we are searching for a topic to use for our collaborative research project. It was indeed a very hectic task, but I finally got one, though I'm playing to fine-tune it considering different literature I reviewed with regards to the same topic.

When I finished, I had a little discussion with my team, and we agreed to review the current literature, identify the knowledge gap, and then centre our findings around it. I rested thereafter because it was indeed a hectic day for me, considering all the various activities I did throughout the day. That was how I spent my day.
