How I Spent My Day | 02-06-2025

Hi guys,
I welcome you all to my blog today. It is a beautiful new brown day, and I'm delighted to share with you all how I spent my previous day. Usually, I make a daily report as to how I spent my previous day here on my blog and today is not different. So, without further ado, let us get started.

I woke up early in the morning because I had it in mind that I would be going to school since it was a Monday, and usually, on this very day, we have our internship training and also work on projects that we will have to publish for the centre. I am delighted to be learning at the moment from different scholars, and with this, my PhD programme will be much easier.

So when I woke up that morning, I went ahead to write and publish my article, and then I washed a few of my dirty. Immediately, I was done with that; I went ahead to prepare for school. I arrived at the school a bit late because I spent a lot of time at home. When I got to the school, I noticed that they were about to pay for some of our publications.

In the centre, we had six publications that we submitted for review, and all were accepted. However, at some point, they were withdrawn because the cost of publishing articles here in Europe was very high. Therefore, we decided to send them to India, where another IEEE conference will be held.

It was a hectic day because we had to make some corrections and also ensure we made everything fit into six pages, because the minimum requirement is 2 and the maximum is 6 pages, except if you want to pay extra; before you will have more pages on your publications. So we tried to remove everything that wasn't too necessary so as to fit in.

We eventually finished, and currently we are waiting for acceptance and approval so we can pay for it also; we await a time for the presentation, which will be online as well. The physical conference we will be attending is in Turkey next month, and this will help boost our findings as researchers.

I came back home late that evening, and I decided to rest a little and also microwaved the little food I had to eat. Immediately after that, I rested my head because I wasn't feeling too well, and I noticed that I needed more rest from all the stress of the day. So, guys, that was how I spent my day. See you all tomorrow in my next publication.

Hey @simonnwigwe, great to see your daily report trending! It's fascinating to get a glimpse into your life as a PhD student, balancing research, publications, and even navigating the complexities of international conferences. The dedication you and your team are putting into your IEEE publications, especially optimizing them for that 6-page limit, is seriously impressive. It sounds like a demanding but rewarding journey. Best of luck with the acceptance and approval process for your publications and your upcoming conference in Turkey! I'm looking forward to hearing more about your research and experiences. Thanks for sharing your day with us!
