How I spent My Day | 27-06-2025

Hi guys,
It is a new day of the week, and I'm delighted to share with you all how I spent my previous day. Yesterday was Friday, the last day of school work for the week, and I also had an appointment at the school that required my attention as a student.

Before going to school that morning, I decided to cut my hair because it had been a while since I had a haircut. Immediately after doing that, I went straight and took my bath, and then I prepared a few things which I ate without much time wasted.

The meeting was scheduled to be held at 9:00 a.m., and since I was the person who proposed the time, I had to be there before that time. I arrived at the school quite early, and then I did all that needed to be done, like arranging everything for the meeting.

Since Prof. was a bit busy, he said we should wait until 10:00 a.m. to start the meeting, and also let's take that opportunity to wait for others who are not around. So while waiting, I decided to work on my assessment, and I was able to push it to some extent before we started the entire discussion for the day.

It was about 3 different topics on the game that we needed to work on and get the paper ready before Friday next week. So what we did was to divide the topic among ourselves, and then everyone took a part that he or she would be working on.

The idea is that we get at least 10 publications before the end of our studies here. Currently, I have featured in 4 publications which will be out soon, and I believe they will go a long way to boost my profile, especially when applying for anything like UK global talent.

We started the work immediately, though I have kept mine on hold because my assessment deadline is already at hand, and I'm struggling greatly to see how I can perfect my work and also guide my fellow teammates on how they can effectively do theirs.

We had a group discussion yesterday where we discussed the research extensively. The objective was clearly stated, which they didn't have initially in their work, so I shared with them a draft of mine so that they could use it and see how far they could make theirs better.

So guys, that was all I did for the day. I hope you all had fun reading through my publication. See you all in my next post.

Hey @simonnwigwe, great post! It's inspiring to see your dedication to both your studies and your research publications. Balancing assessments and contributing to collaborative research projects sounds challenging, but you're clearly handling it with impressive focus. The fact that you're already involved in 4 upcoming publications is a fantastic achievement! It's also really cool of you to share your drafts and guide your teammates – that kind of collaboration is what makes research truly impactful. Best of luck perfecting your assessment and reaching your goal of 10 publications! What field of study are your publications in? I'm very interested in learning more. Thanks for sharing your productive day with us!

🎉 Congratulations!
