How I Spent My Day | 11/07/2025

It has been a while since I shared with you all how I spent my day due to many activities which has kept me busy throughout the week. Today I have come to discuss my experience for the week with you all so have fun as you read through my blog.

This week was the last week for my collaborative research module where I worked on integrating ARIMA and machine learning weather forecasting. A unique topic that allowed me to leverage real-time data from OpenWeatherMap and secondary data from Kaggle.

The research allowed my team and me to check which model performed better between ARIMA, transformer, and LSTM. The analysis showed that the Transformer performed better but consumed time, whereas LSTM performed second with a time barrier, and lastly, ARIMA didn't perform well, but the time taken for the analysis was faster than all the other models.

We also had to demonstrate and show our work separately during the presentation and questions were asked by the professor and the module tutor and they finally asked us to ensure we make publication of the work because the work was worth publishing. So that was how we were able to finish and present our work.

I came back home and then went ahead to do other things. Also, I had to attend to some other person who needed me to guide them on how they can publish their article as well. As of yesterday, I went to a shift that allowed me to work from morning till evening.

Also, when I finished I decided to rest my head and watch a little movie because I needed to clear my head on the hecticness of the day and then I also went to bed and rested.
