A Visit to Awi in Cross river
I and my family
Hey guys few days ago I and my family embarked on a trip to Awi.
Awi is a small town in cross river state with Efik culture and they are simple people. They have great minds and beautiful people in the awi, their main language is ijagam but they also speak Ibibio, Efik and their native food is Egohm while we called it plantain porridge.
Me in the car travelling
Any way, like I said, I went with my lovely family for some business trip which was successful on arrival within 2 hours.
It was an important business that we needed to arrive very early in order to have some discussion and then embark on it. So to meet up with the time that was arranged we needed to wake up very early and embark on a long journey so as to meet up with our time.
So very early in the morning by 5:00 a.m. we were already dressed up and ready to leave the house and so in 1 hour time that is by 6:00 a.m. we already left our state of origin because we were heading to cross River state.
Hubby driving
My husband drove us and the road was really bad although it took us hours like about 3 to 4 hours on the road we were happy that we arrived safely.
After the long trip we were able to arrive at our destination and all our transactions were successfully done so we still have more hours in that state to explore before coming back home.
So we visited some locations but the only place that I found so interesting was(Assembly hall of Jehovah's witnesses awi)[///paperless.stealth.cronyism]. yeah it is a beautiful place of worship and the place I've been hearing of it I've never been there before so I decided to pay a visit it's so big and nice. I think that's the only nice place in that locality although they have other important buildings and interesting innovative in the state.

We met a beautiful couple cleaning the hall because they were about using the space that weekend so we met them clearing grasses and doing some other cleaning and maintenance.
They were so happy to see us after we introduced ourselves to them so they took us round the show us round the place and we appreciate the work they do as a couple taking care of the place cleaning the place as well voluntary.

We were very happy to tour around with them and my daughter was happy and she sees a very big space that she run around with excitement. It was fun as she explored the things that gives her joy.

After the tour we visited a restaurant to eat and then we went back to our host for final discussion and conclusion of what we went for. We were entertained very well by our host, they welcomes us with their native food Egohme and it was really nice, they also added chilled drinks and snacks. The were really hospitable, as we're about leaving, they gave us bunches of plantain, garri and coconut which are the farm products of the land.
My family, my pride
As soon as we finished we embark on our journey back to our state, it wasn't a smooth journey, it rained heavily, our car broke down on the road we repaired it and spent about 3 hours then started our journey back home, we were really tired, coming back home.
Atleast we were happy we had was a successful trip and business carried out successfully as well.
