My messy sketchbook tour.

in #creativecoin5 years ago

Hello again Steem treasures!!

So these last weeks have been CRAZY. My life just had an incredible plot twist and now with this quarantine issue I'm back in the I-have-nothing-to-do again haha

That's why tonight I want to share with you a little peek to the things I draw when I'm bored. Just like a sketchbook tour.

Honestly, I'm not the normal kind of functional art maker that is able to keep up a proper sketchbook. I tend to abandon them pretty quickly because I'm not used to draw things every day.

But through all my failed attempts to fill sketchbooks I got to collect some acceptable drawings.

I present to you some of my messy sketches :)

This is a portrait study I made while my parents were in a meeting and I had to wait for them in a waiting room. I luckily had with me some pencils and paper.

This is me, carrying a huge pumpkin!

It was an old picture I had on my phone, and I swear to god that pumpkin was heavier than myself.

Another disheveled me. Hello!

This drawing was kind of emotional.

This is an old friend I met during a trip to Switzerland. I got to live there for 3 months at my aunt's place, and during my last month there I was lucky enough to cross paths with this incredible human being.

She was a shy geek girl just like me and we instantly clicked. When it was time for me to come back to Venezuela, we kept in touch for a veeery long time.

Now, it's been nearly a year since she doesn't respond to my texts, and I'm actually very concerned because the last time I heard about her she told me she was struggling with depression.

I deeply hope she's doing okay right now.

This was a picture I took when she gave me a tour around her hometown. Vevey, Switzerland. The town where there is a giant fork sculpture in the middle of a lake. Don't ask me what that fork means, even Julie herself couldn't answer to that question haha

Another me but in a dress!!

This is another friend of mine :)

Aaaaaaaaand THE AMAZING @mariacaffrey

(I asked her permission to post this drawing, please Maria don't get mad at me, you look gorgeous)

This is the sketchbook that keeps my drawings safe. I made it with my bare hands, you can tell.

In my defense, it was the first notebook handcrafted by me. And I'm not precisely gentle with my notebooks at all, that's why it looks like it could fall apart anytime hahaha

I tell you guys, this sketchbook was so badly made that I'm not supposed to be able to do this lol.

The spine of the book twists itself and that results on the pages rubbing each other and leaving graphite smudges on every drawing.

The moral of the new Claudia adventures tale is: if you're going to make your own sketchbooks make sure you do it well :)

Thank you so much for reading!
