Story

New Yorker Rachel Chu is an American-born Chinese economics professor. She was going to accompany her BF (Nick) to his best friend's wedding at Singapore. She was excited about her first time visit to Asia but nervous about Nick's family. She was not prepared to know that Nick hid few serious key details about his life, his family was extremely rich & perhaps he was the most demanded bachelor of Asia. Being on Nick’s arm puts target on Rachel with jealous socialites & worse is Nick’s own disapproving mother taking aim & it soon becomes clear that while money can’t buy love, it can definitely complicate things.

Review

I could get disgusted watching shallow story of cheap materialism & some superficial acting. This film is in all the need for money, glamour, fashion & all the latest items. People who have already lived this life wouldn't find this film so good. But there are funny moments & which may be exotic for many people. Critics may not enjoy this film but people in the theatre seemed to enjoy it. I say give it a shot or wait for the video. I loved its comedy, cinematography, music, set designs & costumes.
