This is not meant to offend anyone, its just another point of view.
Sorry people but I do NOT buy into this argument at all.
I prefer to do my own thinking, ask questions, look at who is saying what and look at the possible motives for saying it.
What most people are completely unaware of is that living trees release methane and vast measurable clouds of methane are released into the atmosphere from our forests.
So should we encourage deforestation?
I think not.
Better to start looking to the massive amounts of geoengineering going on.
No offense taken. Greatly appreciated though if you can point to some good articles on the methane released by trees - I would love to learn more and will do some web searching as well, but if you have any good research articles already that would be awesome. Thank you for reading and commenting.
That is encouraging, i did not find what i was looking for but there is a quite bit if do a searh. I notied that some of it has a spin which does not agree with the original article. however here one scholarly article https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00376-016-5138-7 to get you going and i did see another that explains how living pants release methane.
according to this article, the amount emitted by plants is still a bit controversial, this team was researching it in 2009

and according to this update in 2014 they still have not quite been able to prove the link except in fungi. But they have not shown yet how it works or how much is released by trees.

Maybe in a few more years they will have an update like the one they just published about cows. Or do you think this is a concerted plot against the dairy industry?
Oh everything about C02 and methane driven climate change is controversial. Even the IPCC has its scandals, did you catch up with the wiki leaks release of their emails about how they were going to manipulate the numbers? Years ago
Have you looked into geoengineering what it is they are spraying into the atmosphere?
There is so much to this climate change, what about HAARP?

I think the the truth is out there, objectively, somewhere.

No you did not come across as dogmatic, was hoping I did not either. It is just interesting trying to take a neutral view of what has become a very dogmatic issue.
That is one of the things that is so good about this platform, most people can exchange points of view without getting carried away.
