Miraculous ladybug Cosplay

For those of you who has never heard about "Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Chat Noir", it’s basically a French CGI action/adventure animated series produced by Zagtoon and Method Animation. The series is set in Paris where there are two Parisian teenagers named Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, who transform into their superheroes as Ladybug and Chat Noir to protect the city of Paris and fight super villains; Akumatizes by the evil Hawkmoth.

Back to the topic on hand! After indulging myself into the series, it was not that difficult for me to decide my next cosplan right away since I am super hooked on the show. Surprisingly, back then I couldn't find the exact costume for Ladybug that is being sold online. To my discovery, I have seen a number of people already cosplaying as her after the series has been released, since they are usually skillful or hold a profession in sewing their costumes on their own.

In the end, I decided to, with the best of my capabilities, come up with my own design by doing some modifications on my normal dark grey blazer. All I did was just sew on the fabric of pink spots pattern I have brought, at the curve for her collar, pants and sleeves. For her inner T-shirt, I traced the design with a pencil and coloured it with permanent markers (like her Ladybug’s shirt looks in the show). As for her miraculous accessory, I used instamorph (a lightweight thermoplastic you can shape it into your desirable object). All I did was place it in warm water and start molding it into the sharp of her earrings, and then cool it down with ice.

I even put together a mini Tikki and Plagg plush with their specific color cloth and stuffed them with cotton. Because what is Marinette without her Kwami who can transform her into superhero form?? And I figured she would be lonely, so it would be a great idea to make her a partner in crime.

The gorgeous girl standing beside me is Emma Agreste. Although she might not exist in the actual series she is somehow being recognized as Marinette and Adrien’s lovechild in the fandom. How did we meet? Well she basically shouted my heroine name and that deliberately caught my attention, she even called me mom for god sake. Took me awhile to figure out where she was actually from and it just clicked to me. Honestly, it is a very rare occasion to actually see someone cosplay this character… which I am so glad she did! I get to be the best mother of the day for her (no pun intended). No one messes with my little kitten… not under my watch. x'D

After the convention, I was inspired to draw a short comic strip of how we both actually met in image 1. Image 2 is more on how I would think teen Marinette would have reacted to Emma in person.

I didn't just stop there! Of course I wanted to do her iconic superhero as ladybug and Break Dance au. As you can see in the image I have made a compilation below.
