Teacher's Diary: Town Festival and Cosplay Event
For the past few weeks, I had been so busy with my classes and with activities in our baranggay (or also known as town). *I even forgot to share a lot of things with you here.
The town's fiesta (fiest of its patron saint) is fast approaching. I was assigned to be the floor director for one night event which is Kalandrakaz sponspored by our school which is Iponan National High School. There were tons of activities that would be held that day and that includes the cosplay event.
Last February 5, the event was then held at the town's plaza. There were a lot of spectators during the said event. A lot of ous students even joined the activities. It was superb!
My two co-teachers who were also member of the committee assigned for the said event. This was few hours before the event started.
We also had a rehearsal for all the cosplayers and performers. On the photo below is Belle. In few hours, she would transform into a superhero.
The rehearsal was pretty tiring so we decided to have a lunch at Jollibee. There was actually no classes since it is the town's fiesta. I had a great opportunity to get along with some students in our school.
At the backstage, the student wanted to have photos with me. I was with them and game them encouragement since a lot of them were really nervous. I told them they would just do fine.
And so they did. They all looked lovely. I was very proud of what they have become on stage. Last year, there were only few who joined, but this year the number tripled.
Although this has nothing to do with their academics, I am just happy how happy and proud they were of themselves. I am looking forward to more of their achievements and take part of it.
Love,
Dahlia
