Corruption and the DOJ - TIME FOR ACTION
The new narrative regarding the Session’ DOJ is that there IS a strategy and we have to “trust” in it. At this point it seems that we don’t have much choice. Implied in the narrative is that regardless of any doubts they may have, those who have been supporting Trump should continue to do so. The key word here is “trust.” Given the experience of the past several decades, to call on “We The People” to grant our trust to any political leader, or administration, is a huge “ask” at this point.
This is not to denigrate the current president; but to say rather that our doubts or skepticism are warranted for several reasons; not the least of which is the suspicion that, even with the best of intentions, this administration could be played by the entrenched bureaucracy, or even outmanned, to such an extent that a moderate or patient strategy will not work. Indeed we must face the possibility that there may be no strategy that will work. We know the mind-set of the permanent-state. They have only to run out the clock or at least slow things down sufficiently, to enable them to weaken or defeat any serious effort at reform by the “temporary” inconvenience a presidential administration trying to clean-up the mess.
Frustration is understandable given the amount of circumstantial evidence that has been amassed regarding the level of corruption that has existed, and no doubt persists. And without more transparency it is not unreasonable to assume that the bad actors are even now, not only working feverishly to cover-up their crimes, but are working out new methods to avoid detection based on the recent lessons learned.
So as a citizen what is to be done? One thing that must not happen is to allow ourselves lapse back into a passive, or even a resigned posture. From this point forward, regardless of the current blackout of information from the DOJ, “We The People” must continue to use every means at our disposal, until such time as we are forcibly prevented from doing so, to shine a light on government officials who abuse the public trust.
The rage that is engendered by the pernicious lies and obfuscation that continues to emanate from the opponents of our cause is quite understandable. To all appearances, based on continuous emanations from the officially sanctioned news outlets, it would seem that a substantial portion of the public continue to ingest and largely accept the misleading and deceptive “official” narratives that continue to be promulgated. This, in addition to the large scale clampdown on speech in the electronic media platforms strongly suggests that we are fighting a losing battle on multiple fronts.
We have seen virtually no definitive legal actions, zero indictments, of what seem to be the most criminal, and unconstitutional actions perpetrated by those in the upper ranks of the government. With all of the resources at its disposal, are we to believe that zero results are at this point acceptable? Moreover, our representatives in the “people’s House” themselves cannot seem to get the DOJ to communicate or act in this regard. What the hell is going on then? We would like to believe that the reason for the delays in taking action are because the crimes run much deeper than the work presented by even the most diligent citizen researchers suggest. But on what basis can we be expected to place our faith in the current system when we hear from many quarters that the administration is outnumbered by the tens of thousands in government who stand to benefit from a perpetuation of the status quo?
