Ingredients

2 kilos Pork legs, hock
100 grams Achiote
Finely crush fried peanuts
Finely crushed raw rice
Eggplant
Legumes
Pechay Tagalog
Heart of banana
Garlic
Onion

Saute Shrimp paste

Preparation

1.)wash in running water and chop the pork leg in 20 pieces
2.)wash and chop heart of banana, eggplant, pechay, legumes,
3.)wash and chop into small pieces the onion and garlic

Cooking procedures:

1.)open gas stove and take a pitch put atsuete with 1/4 water boil to remove the atsuete color, when it is released its color take the sieve and filter the seeds of atsuete put the juice of atsuete into the jug
2.) dilute the finely crushed raw rice in water
3.)open gas stove place a big pan put a cooking oil add garlic, onion, pork saute for 10 minutes after this add 2 liters of water make the boil and become soft for 40 minutes when pork is soft put the banana heart, eggplant, legumes, pechay, make them boil for 10 minutes after this add the atsuete juice, peanuts boil for 5 minutes and add the diluted rice to make kare-kare become sticky like a sauce texture
