Really, if there's a particular positive for me to extract from the worst breakup of my life, it's that I've become a pretty damn good cook in response.

I've actually spent time, money, and energy learning how to cook.

It wasn't that I couldn't cook at all prior to that relationship. It's just that I actually put effort into being better than average after it ended.

I would dare to say that I'm better than average.
