Wake up call. Lets avoid abusive control of the masses (we, if you relate) and favor self sustainability. Cryptos can be the solution and it is up to us, the common folks.

Nowadays you should not consider just bitcoin as the actor of this possible change, you need to substitute the word "bitcoin" for "cryptoassets", then it makes more sense and you will notice it is already happening. Yet few are grasping this acknowledgement.
This new technologies are slowly consolidating, an already unstoppable movement, just uncertain regarding witch techs will be mass adopted. And still uncertain for just one most probable reality: THE EASE OF CONTROL OVER THE GREAT MAJORITY OF OUR "COMMON FOLKS" OR ABUSED "MINORITIES" (awkward way to point what actually is the MAJORITY) by the great corporations and "controllers of values" thru our media, religion and politics. The real minority are the actual "puppeteers".

Favor decentralized applications and solutions.

We say in general blockchain is the thing but few know we have many other new development on this sphere such as hashgraphs and atomic swaps, and we might still create more advanced protocols.
We also have the smarts contracts being adopted as safest place to keep information already. Because it can be autonomous and relies on the existence of the internet (only a walking dead like reality could remove the internet as essential, therefore "obsolete" somehow).

For sure we are facing a very delicate turning point in our society! We will be able to evolve to a more self sustained less abusive and consumption driven society. But we can still follow the ignorance if the powerful people can overrun us on the "control" techniques", basically behavioral sciences and psychology for children might be a paramount move.
Regarding cryptos, just understand the concept of decentralization, you will be able to help our society evolve by diverging from the constant attempt to control that we are forced to believe. This cryptographic new world is the most important thing that is threatening the ones who control "the concept of what has value". We are experiencing a big transition/change/adaption/induction of beliefs and truths. What happened in 2017 is the confirmation of adoption of the cryptoassets by the ones who control power (money, assets, whatever name you grant the way savvy human beings control masses in your time).

In sum we need our "common folks" to realize what really matters. Not happiness thru possession as we are constantly motivated to follow.
Happiness thru actual contact with significant others and to move towards relations with as many "like minded" living beings we can.

This is an illusion of power.
We are insistently being motivated to believe in facts implied by the few who can empower us by granting an illusion of accomplishment by being an active "member of the society", a society in which you are induced to desire items of consumption and in order to aquire them you need money and therefore you need means to acquire money or indirectly thru a job, granted by who has "control over what is know as worthy".
We must educate people for them to realize all we need is acceptance by a close loving group of other human beings, rather than this current false sense of accomplishment granted by random "likes" in large amounts regarding the picture of your dinner at your social network (one of the many tools that can act in favor of a more controlled focused society by the "real minority").

Act for real significant relationships in your life, family is important, if you don't have one, find one in the concept of family our ancestors had. The gatherers and hunters lived in large communities, they had many brothers and sisters, they all considered themselves one big (incestuous) family. Specific sorts of relationships weren't in their cultural sense. The tribe related with other "villages", they eventually could migrate inhabitants from one another due to affinity thus allowing some genetic variations (positive for avoiding repetitive DNA mutations, common in syndromes related to "inbreeding"). Some communities of this sort managed to survive until today, known as indigenous tribes, they can help us understand what should be a more evolved sustained and caring society. We must find a way to learn from them.

So if you "don't have a family", realize your family can be who you consider it, they are not just blood bound, your friends are too. No matter how few or many friends you consider you have, the few you keep will help you deal with life and you will eventually talk and have conclusions, you will then feel acceptance, this feeling of accomplishment can be obtained with people close to you, people you really know or even if you just met someone meaningful. Grasp it!

We still might be able to achieve significant changes in our sociological patterns imposed by the mass culture.
Grasp this knowledge!
Peace.

interesting points of view to justify this "paranoia":
