I started my own currency here in Victoria BC Canada www.tetla.org -- We used this currency to fund 17 Hul'qumi'num Language classes. This is a language on the verge of extinction that has existed for at least 10,000 years... We funded the classes by people donating some of the currency that they had aquired by participating in the Tetla Economy.
