Humanity and the great elements of nature

The five great elements of nature found in Vedas, the pancha mahabhuta, of Hinduism are bhūmi (earth), jala (water), tejas or agni (fire), vayu or pavan (air or wind) and vyom or shunya or akash (space or aether or void).

Here fish in the water represents Pisces which is the zodiac sign of 'jala' (water). The balance and the plant represents Libra and Virgo which are zodiac signs of vayu(air) and bhumi(earth). Gemini, the third symbol, also represents vayu(air). Shunya(space or void) is nothing in itself and yet exists in everything.

Now for the fifth element of nature the picture portraits humanity as agni(fire). A man holds the "Scorpio" which symbolizes power, destruction. Scorpio is of water but humanity(fire) holds it. Water destroys fire, yet fire could also make water to vapour. This explains the sensitive relation between Humanity and the Nature.
The two other hands are far from two other symbols. That explains that Human is not powerful than the elements of nature. But also holding Scorpio says that we, as a humanity, has the potential to become as powerful as the elements of nature and this inspires us to become as powerful by protecting nature and realizing our importance in the creation.
