STEEMIT PERSONALITY SHOW /CONTEST WITH @PEARLUMIE WEEK 1
Hello guys,
It's our Sunday personality show. And like I said earlier on this morning we will get to meet amazing personalities here on steemit Sunday personality show.
As it stands the Sunday Personality Show Contest is on. You can read the rules and drop your entry here. link to the contest
It's going to be an awesome time and today we will be hosting a very amazing science guru. Our Steemit Doctor @Pearlumie.
I met him at the steemit campus invasion I organized at my school at Delta State Polytechnic Otefe. We really didn't have enough time to talk because it was a very busy day.
Something amazing about him was he a very quiet young looking guy. As a curious guy I wanted to know him. We exchanged contacts and today we will be getting to know him better.
So let's get started.
Question 1
Can we meet at you?
@Pearlumie
Yes of course... My name is 'Pelumi Okanlawon also known as @pearlumie on steemit. I am a young boy as it is. I majorly blog about science, I am a Lagos based steemian, I am a student, a scientist, a researcher, a musician, what else have I left out??
Question 2
When did you join steemit and who introduced you to steemit?
I joined July 23rd, 2017 and it was @voski who introduced me to the community.
Question 3
How will you say you journey has being on steemit and what impact will you say has added to your life since you joined steemit?
@Pearlumie
Lol... My journey... it has been rough and smooth. In the sense that, it was really rough when I started, like real rough. Voski only told me to register which I did, no harm in trying. He himself was new to the system and didn't know how it went. I got frustrated at some point, I left only to be recalled by a friend (@valchiz) later on and that's why I am here now.
Let me try to do a listing
[1] Steemit has brought out the writing potential in me - like I didn't enjoy writing before.
[2]Steemit has given me friends and I mean better friends than I used to have.
[3] Steemit puts money in my pocket aside other physical works I do.
[4] Steemit gave me a reason to research, to get better, to update my knowledge>
I'll just keep listing on and on. With all these, I don't think you still need me to say steemit has been smooth, I guess. We all have different perspectives to things but in my own end, these are what I can say for now.
Question 4
What other thing do you do as a career outside steemit?
@Pearlumie
I am a student, I do music - I play a lot of musical instruments, I sing, I am an online doctor, and I blog for another site too.
Question 5
How do you manage your time as a student, a worker and as a steemian?
@Pearlumie
School first before the remaining two. I just set time for steeming, and doing the other works too but I've not done that recently majorly because I have not resumed school for now..
Question 6
What will you say was the 🔑 to you being successful on steemit?
Key... The relationship, that's it. Steemit is a social network. What do we do on social networks?? We meet new people, connect with friends, bond, communicate, chat and the rest. That's what steemit needs...
@pearlumie with @destinysaid, @michaelcj, @ewosuo, @mimy, @illuminatus during one of these meet-ups.
Question 7
If you were to given the opportunity to change something on steemit, what will you change?
@Pearlumie
I'll change the flag option to report just for the people that flag unnecessarily and here is what I mean.
I see posts flagged for no good reason at times. Posts that were flagged for personal reasons and not content quality, plagiarism, and other reason worthy of flag. I really find this painful and hope it could be changed. How? Maybe if we have to fill a form before flagging. Like having to State the reason you intend to flag a post and quoting the place in the post that makes you think it's worth flagging.
Question 8
What's your next milestone on steemit? i.e. I mean what you hope to achieve in the next 11 months?
@Pearlumie
In the next 11 months.... Hmm, I wouldn't say thousands of followers, they'll come naturally. I dream big and I hope to be a whale by then. Yeah, someone that'll have a say o steemit, someone that'll have a voice, a very loud one.
Question 9
Do you think you trust the steemit platform so much that you can invest more than just your time but finances on Steemit?
@Pearlumie
Lol... A good look at my wallet should show you how much I trust the platform. Most of my earnings are still on the platform. I power up, invest in steem, sbd,I invest my time, and I can recall buying steem with Fiat at a time.
Question 10
What advice do you have to give to newbies?
@Pearlumie
[1] Don't treat steemit like a money making platform.
[2] Don't do steemit like a businessman. [3] See steemit as a social platform like Facebook, Twitter..
