Reptile Identification Contest #6!: One Lucky Winner Will Get 10 SBD!
Update: CONGRATULATIONS TO @diya28 FOR THE SUCCESSFUL IDENTIFICATION OF THE MYSTERY REPTILE!
The identity of the reptile will be revealed tomorrow so feel free to keep on guessing!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
During my herpetology lecture course in college, my professor provided extra credit opportunities to students through identification contests. I found it to be a very fun way to learn to identify local species and I want to bring that educational fun to steemit! This is also a great chance for our newest members to get some valuable steem in their wallets!
Soooo.... CAN YOU IDENTIFY THE PICTURED REPTILE?!
Contest Rules:
- You must be able to provide the LATIN, SCIENTIFIC NAME. Common names are often interchangeable or used to describe many different species (it's pretty easy to find scientific names online).
- Please MESSAGE ME DIRECTLY ON STEEMIT.CHAT (herpetologyguy) with your answer! This ensures that everyone has a chance to try and guess (so please do NOT answer in the comment section)!
- If you make an incorrect guess, no worries! I allow multiple guesses...within reason (in other words, don't just copy/paste me a huge list of answers, that's no fun!).
- If someone correctly identifies the animal, I will make a note on this post that the prize has been claimed, but you are more than welcome to continue guessing!
- If/when a significant amount of time (maybe an hour or two) passes with no correct guesses, I will add a couple clues to help you narrow down your search.
THE PRIZE IS 10 SBD TO THE FIRST INDIVIDUAL WHO MESSAGES ME WITH THE CORRECT ANSWER!
Clue 1: This particular lizard is a juvenile.

I've been several times to answer your challenge, but nonetheless still have not found the correct answer for you Sir @herpetologyguy. By the way thanks for the contest, sir. in the future I will try to challenge you again, I'm sure I can. ;)
Many many congratulations @diya28!
