Creative Writing Competition! - Relationship Experience! - Steem Prizes Up For Grabs! - Pls Read On..
Hello Steemians and welcome back to my blog page, and welcome to the latest instalment of the creative writing competition series that i am running , this competition will be based on quirky, funny, flirty, insightful, sad, happy etc. entries from you guys - i start off with an opening line and invite you do describe a life experience (in no more than a 100 words) based on that opening line - not only will you get to enjoy the fun of participating by sharing your stories, there are several STEEMS UP FOR GRABS! – that’s right, the winner (s) get 2 STEEMS! and the runner up gets 1 Steem, please read on to find out how to participate, the rules, etc...
How it works:
Here is how it works, I will come up with a topic or a line and ask you to expand on it, (please read the rules section carefully so that you are clear on exactly how this works), so, without further ado, here is today’s opening line:

So, you take that line as an opening line and build on it.
The Rules:
• Keep it short, your entry should be no more than 100 words, this is so that people do not find it too tasking to read.
• Upvote this post – the prizes are going to be given from my own pocket for the first 2 competitions, but going forward I would like the competition to generate its own pot and this is where your upvotes would help, the bigger the pot the bigger the prizes that we are able to give out in the future so please, remember, remember to upvote.
• Resteem – resteeming is one of the key rules of this competition, resteeming is a key criteria for participating.
How the winners will be picked:
• The winners will not be decided by me, they will be decided by you guys, if you read a entry that you particularly like then just type the word “vote” in the comment section of that entry, you do not have to upvote the entry, (upvote the competition though) just type the word “vote” in the comment section. That’s all.
Transparency:
• The winner of the competition will emerge at the end of the 7 days run, as soon as the competition closes I shall be sending the winners winnings to their wallet, once this has been done I shall be leaving a comment in the comments section to say that it has been done.

My entry
I love him but he loves his machines more than me. He keeps on tinkering with his bikes and tools. He is so dedicated to it that I do not mind it at all because he gives me my space as well. I can do as I like. Personal freedom, space and trust are what make marraiges work these days and not possessiveness.
His mother had been so possessive that he had to ask permission for doing even a silly thing. The freedom I give him is what makes him stick to me.

I love her but from afar. With fear but without agenda. Simple salutations inspire perspiration and my capillaries aspire to scarlet, returning a youthfulness long since wasted. Does she assume reticence or indifference?
I glance across the divide, carefully attempting to balance the burning need to stare at her mesmerising elegance with the necessity not to be intimidating and harrowing.
Just one look, one coy smile, one simple recognition and my day is complete. I don't need reciprocation, allow me to rest without risk on the edges of illusion. Reality would be too painful to bear.

I loved him but the distance went away, each time our trips were more distant to see us, suffering to work in different countries has resulted in the failure of our love

I loved him but he took my love for granted. Dave was my first love, he was my world. A friend invited me to her friend's wedding and alas when i got there it was my Dave that got married to another woman,my Dave that told me he was going for business meeting!!! I never knew the last kiss we shared was a goodbye, he broke me into a thousand pieces and now am left with no more emotions.

I love him but he left me. I thought I am the one that he truly loved.
Those flowers and chocolates he sent me, his kisses on my forehead, his sweetest smile and twinkling eyes when he was talking to me, introducing me to his lovely parents ------------- he made me very special each day!

I loved her, but society forced me otherwise.
Our moment in time was pilfered by the so-called holy men who preach equality and tolerance. Her soul was pure as the Heaven’s unclouded day. Yet, her character, rights and liberties were all defined by the colour of her skin and the God she worshiped. We were divided by our colour and fragmented by our beliefs, yet love brought us together and made our lives complete.
