"Promoting Steem Engagement: Food Photography Contest [ROUND 3] + (ANNOUNCEMENT OF ROUND 2 WINNERS)"
Hello everyone! Thank you for all your efforts in sharing with me your food photography! There are 22 entries for this round and I do really hope that the number of participants will increase as we continue our food photography contest 2 to 3 times a week.
Congratulations to all of us as nobody loses here, we all win in this contest! While most of you might not have won SBDs, the time you invested in engaging with other people, successfully making friends is much bigger reward especially in the long run.
My purpose in hosting this contest is to encourage you to socialize with other people. The most important thing in becoming successful in this platform starts with engaging with other people! I think I don't need to explain that to you.
Round 3
So for Round 3, I want you TO NOT just share us your food but also, TO COMMENT on other's food. Well, you don't necessarily need to comment on all the entries, just comment on the photos that you find very delightful or the foods that you really like!
Again 5 people will be declared winners at the end of the contest. Winners will receive 1 SBD each. It isn't too much so take this as an opportunity to really make friends. Think of your long term investment in the platform!
The Rules of the Contest
First, you must upvote this post to increase the prizepool. I will not require you to resteem this but I would really encourage you to do so. This is to gather more people to interact with! Again all you have to do is to upvote, you don’t need to resteem!
Next, comment your photo below with a short description of your entry food and explain why you liked it. Just make it short, at least 2 to 3 sentences. This will act as your conversation starter.
You are only allowed to submit one entry. Again, I will pick 5 winners for 1 SBD each, this time after 3 days. AGAIN, prizes will increase depending on the success of the event. The prizes are really cheap but if you actively participate and engage with other people, you will build a strong network of followers.
The event will end on January 31, Wednesday at 1PM (Philippine Time). Winners will be announced 2 to 3 hours after.
Winners of Round 2
I really had a hard time picking just 5 winners. So in no particular order, here are the 5 winners of Round 2. Each of them will receive 1 SBD. Congratulations everyone!

APIR!!! heheheh
Same here! My breakfast was last nights left over dinner XD All i ate was "bahaw."
The secret to a tasty and successful paella negra dish is the squid ink. It creates the distinct and eponymous coloration. This is the main source of flavor.
This one looks interesting.. If im not mistaken, is this a sort of a pizza?
No man. That’s Paella Negra. It is made with squid ink, which is added to the rice in the cooking broth and gives the dish the color and it’s name. That’s close enough to pizza thou :)
Thanks for the info man! Haven’t tried one. Maybe soon! Im craving now hahah
Try now! 😄
Love the spirals!
You should try it thou! :)
Now, this one is interesting. I really, really want to taste this, much more learn how to cook it.
It is basically composed of rice, squid and lots of squid or cuttlefish ink. It’s really a delicious meal my friend. :)
I thought it was a Roti first or a chamorado here in the Philippines but upon reading it not. I guessed it wrong. I am looking forward to taste some food like this, I can smell some weirdness due to the squid ink but i think this taste like heaven!
Yes bro, it may looks like dirty, unpleasant because of it’s color, but I’m telling you, this is superb! 👍
Wooohh this is the first time that I see this food. Lemme search this in google or youtube.
Yes bro. The color of it will give you it’s own mystery! Try it bro.😊
Healthy one. I like the idea of local veggies... and I agree, home-cooked foods are still the best.
Agreed, home-coked foods are the best!
Budget friendly and really tasty. Uhm, well, if you are a good cook. Lol.

thanks for @asbonclz I did not expect me to be a champion, this time I want to show other Indonesian typical food, can say this food comes from my place of Aceh, all people of Aceh familiar with this food and I happen to cook myself because a little hard to find the material here, good fortune there though simple , but it tastes delicious, the name of the food "sayur pliek" is full of vegetables such as young corn, melinjo, eggplant, sweet potatoes, peanuts, pliek, and others, a special of this food is pliek (patarana) that only exist in Aceh.
Photo taken with a samsung J7 prime by me
Looks delicious. I'm planning to visit Indonesia soon. What food do you recommend?
Hehe..there are many regional foods in Indonesia, because in Indonesia there are many ethnic and diverse cultures as well as the cuisine, so it depends on which region of Indonesia you will visit, if in Aceh "sayur pliek" most famous, different regions are also typical food a little hard for me to recommend which meal the most delicious?so if you go to Indonesia later, you tell me which part, let me tell you what special food? 😅
This is something to note. "Sayur Pliek" I need to try this when we visit Indonesia sometime this year. Is this spicy though?
Not spicy, this is good for people who like vegetables and coincidentally I also like vegetables☺️
I liked that you "coincidentally" like vegetables, and so am I. Sayuk pliek it is, noted and must try it.
Great coz I love veggies.
In my city Sfax ( tunisia) we call it "Jwejem" Very tasteful
We take transparent crystal cups with a beautiful shape for presentation. Garnish in each cup with caramel sauce, then sprinkle a few crispy chips and broken fruits, then set a little yogurt and sprinkle with nuts and crispy chips. Then add another layer of yoghurt and put a little honey and fruits on top. Then sprinkle with cherries, bananas and strawberries and cover with dry fruits, then sprinkle with a teaspoon of concentrated pomegranate juice.
Wow! This is heaven! Makes me wanna visit Tunisia asap.

This is our favourite food specially during rainy season. Champorado with milk(rice cook with tablea or cocoa and with milk on top as sweetener) paired with dried fish or buwad with fresh green tomatoes. So delicious and most OFWs and balikbayans want to buy dried fish to remind them about their home country Philippines.
Bulad and champorado!! I just remember our Neighbor That used to call tita. She always cook these two for our snack.
Yes, our all time favourite snack!!!
Omg! I miss champorado!
Yes, best to eat during snack time or rainy season.
KALAMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lami jud kaayo, maayung pagka pares...😊
♪..buwad ,suka,sili, sikwate ...~ ♪
Nice song for a good breakfast, makes you energetic for the whole day..😁
Aw! that tuyo just nailed it. Makes me want to have that for merienda later, well since breakfast is done.
I just had tuyo in my breakfast earlier :)
Tuyo from where exactly? Our place boasts of the best tasting tuyo. ^_^
It's from cebu, famous for danggit and other dried fish and squid.
Is this the famous bulad, suka sili, sikwate? Ahahaha
Yes, but i do not put sili because my son also ate it.. hahaha.. but i like the song you mentioned...by budoy i think?
Yeah it is a song by Junior Kilat.
I so love champorado!
Eggs Benedict
The hollandaise sauce is mouthwatering, 😋😋
Maybe I should try that one for my breakfast. 😊😊
Yes! I highly suggest that you try it! But I’m not sure if its available in some resto’s here in iligan. Maybe in Cdo though
May I know what particular resto is that? Perhaps I could try that in Manila.
Thank you. 😊😊
This was in Cambodia at Khéma. It’s a resto that offers only breakfast and brunch. But i think if you’re in Manila you could try at Resorts World Manila coz they have a perfect breakfast also for the record haha
Oh thank you for the info. You're rigth they have great foods, but maybe i should plan my budget again for that. Hahaha!
Wow. I'm salivating over this! Awesome shot!
Thanks ruel! This one is my favorite breakfast but I couldn’t afford this everyday hahha
Looks heavenly. I always wanted to make eggs benedict at home but always failed. So, I only get to have a taste of this whenever we go on a holiday at the hotels.
Same with me too. I cant eat this everyday nor try to make it myself. hahaha Its way too expensive for daily breakfast haha. Maybe i’ll just try to cook some scrambled egg?
Scrambled egg could be a good substitute for eggs benedict. we just have to close our eyes and imagine we are eating one. lol.
Ohhw I would love to try this one! Perfect! Both you and @bluesapphire06 share the best foods! Maybe we should give chance to others :D hehe
What i love in this competition you’ve made is that I get to have small yet cool conversations with everyone. yay!
