Yes, Virginia, the CIA Did Conduct Brutal Mind Control Experiments On Unwitting Victims
This past week, Elizabeth Thompson, reporting for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) published a column documenting how the federal government had quietly compensated the daughter of a victim of CIA-backed brainwashing experiments conducted in the 1950's and 60's. Read about it here.
The article states, "The CIA, concerned about the brainwashing of U.S. soldiers who had been Korean prisoners of war, funded mind-control experiments across North America."
In case the average reader had harbored any doubts as to whether or not such experiments were not conducted with the well-being of others in mind, there you have it. They tortured some people purely out of concern for others.
This is on par with how DOD biological warfare specialists have been digging up and re-engineering long buried viruses like the Bubonic plague and Spanish flu in recent decades, ostensibly for the sole sake of national 'defense'. Or how as a matter of record, FBI operatives have in fact shepherded the majority of foiled terror plots to date – i.e., fighting terror by manufacturing more of it. What an idea. (See here and here).
In the case of MKUltra, the CIA conducted brutal experiments on people such as Jean Steel, that in the word's of Steel's daughter, "took away her soul". This was done to countless other innocent victims, supposedly for the collective good, the tyrant's favorite wiggle word. Such is the twisted logic, whereby people become convinced that preventing some conceivable atrocity must entail the willingness to preemptively commit atrocity oneself. Taken to extremes this is exactly what you get.
Not mentioned in the article, is the fact that Dr. Ewen Cameron, the medical point man for the whole grotesquerie known as Project MKUltra, also served as President of the American Psychiatric Association (1952–1953), Canadian Psychiatric Association (1958-1959), American Psychopathological Association (1963), Society of Biological Psychiatry (1965), and World Psychiatric Association (1961-1966). True believers in the establishment will undoubtedly find reason why this fact is of no concern.
These facts are all very well known of course, shopworn even, to those of us who are often derided as “conspiracy theorists” for entertaining even the slightest notion in the reality of mind control.
Whether you find good enough reason to believe in mind control or not is up to you. But, understand that your acknowledgment of the subject or lack thereof has about as much bearing on whether those in power will continue acting on the premise that it is indeed a quantifiable phenomena, as a solar panel does in harvesting wind energy. It doesn't much matter what you believe, should you find yourself sitting on the other side of an electroshock device, whacked out acid trip, or chemically induced slumber, at the hands of some bureaucratic sociopath, as did Jean Steel and others. It's okay though, I'm sure the sociopaths are just trying to help.
The article states further that, "The experiments were funded in part by grants from the federal government's Health and Welfare Department ..."
Now that you know one more place your tax dollars have been going, besides building the god-damned roads, what are you going to do about it?
If you knew that your money was being used to fund similar black projects today, and you were given a personal choice as to whether or not you would voluntarily pay for such things, would you? The fact that you aren't given a choice, since taxation is compulsory, is the very thing that enables such barbarism to go on, sequestered from sight, to begin with. Leviathan sucks a portion of your labor right out of your pocket, using it in part to forge the very chains with which to bind you, and one day your children, into ever more slavery.
On what basis are you to believe that such experiments as MKUltra, or worse, have not been continuing to this day under some other CIA umbrella? A more thorough examination of the history and machinations of Western intelligence agencies, in light of this story and others, is warranted. The smoking gun from their latest crimes may not be seen until years after the fact, if it is ever declassified, or otherwise brought to light. But once you have been made aware as to the extent of the shadows already lurking behind the bureaucracy, as has already been detailed, does a pretense of ignorance still absolve you?
Although these revelations are disturbing, to say the least, I still believe the biggest elements of the intelligence industry remain obscured behind the smoke screen of these tragic incidents. There's much more evidence to uncover in the CIA's involvement in control of every element of the media and how they developed counterculture movements like the "Dead heads" and more recently Burning Man.
What this all points to is a psychological operation to control people's perception of reality at such a developed level it will probably be more than people can handle. The short truth is the masses are being herded and this is the real job of those in "intelligence".
Spot on @mikeonfire. Dave McGowan shed a lot of light on some of what you say in his 'Weird Scenes Inside the Canyon'. I also highly recommend Michael Hoffman's 'Secret Societies and Psychological Warfare'. The depth and scope of it all is a lot to process. I have been thinking a lot about how to make this kind of information more accessible to the average person.
