Conflicts and Tensions

Russia-Ukraine War:

Russia has launched a massive drone and missile attack on Ukraine, reportedly its biggest to date, killing at least 8 people. The European Court of Human Rights has also ruled that Russia committed violations in Ukraine and was behind the downing of Flight MH17 in 2014. Meanwhile, President Trump has stated the U.S. will send more weapons to Ukraine after previously pausing some shipments, though he also expressed unhappiness with Putin.

Gaza War:

Israeli military operations in Gaza continue, with reports of dozens of Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes. There are ongoing efforts for a ceasefire, with discussions between Trump and Netanyahu. Israel has also outlined plans to potentially pack Gaza's population into a closed border zone.

Red Sea Attacks:

Houthi rebels have attacked another cargo ship in the Red Sea, killing three mariners, fueling concerns about a new wave of attacks. Five crew members were rescued from a separate attacked cargo ship.
