Take notes during meetings and remember these four key words

in #conference4 days ago

Every time there's a meeting, you frantically fill up the page with text, but after the meeting, you just stare blankly at your notes? In fact, there's no need to record word for word. Grasping the four key words accurately can not only save time but also help you quickly clarify the key points during the review.
The first one to record is "To Do", and only write down the action items related to yourself. There's no need to remember the cause and effect. Clearly state "what to do + deadline", and you can open it directly after the meeting without being disturbed by irrelevant information.
The second note is "Conclusion", with a focus on the final decision made after the discussion. For instance, the project budget amount and the selected version of the plan are the basis for subsequent work. Even if the process is missed, as long as the conclusion is held, it will not go astray and there is no need to go back and ask colleagues, "What was decided at that time?"
The third one is to mark "questions", casually marking the points that you don't understand or have disputes about. Just write a few words as a reminder. After the meeting, contact the person in charge in time for confirmation to avoid the accumulation of problems. The fourth one is to record "highlights", and occasionally recall good ideas from colleagues. For instance, "Simplify the report with XX tool" or "This promotion perspective can be borrowed", just remember the core words. It can not only broaden your thinking but also be reused in subsequent work.
Give up the obsession of "full record", focus on these four words to remember, and you won't be flustered in meetings, and your review will be clear.
