Earth and Mars

Earth and Mars are planets positioned next to each other in the solar system, although in terms of closeness, earth is closer to venus compares to it closeness to Mars. Earth and Mars have the same materials make up, similar origin. The only different between Earth and Mars in term of material composition is just the quantity, this posed a question in people mind, since Mars and Earth have the same material composition although in different quantities, why is that life in many forms appears on the earth and not mars?.
SIZE:- Earth is bigger than Mars; earth has the equatorial diameter of 12,756 km and a polar diameter of 12713.6 km while Mars has equatorial diameter of 6792km and polar diameter of 6,752km. Mars planet is about one-sixth the size of Earth
MOON: - earth has one moon, while mars has two named phobos and deimos.
Colour:- earth is also called the blue planets, Earth's surface is covered in water, which appears blue from space while Mars is known as the Red Planet. It gets its red color from the iron in its soil.
Temperature:- Mars is very cold. The average temperature on Mars is minus 27 degrees Celsius way below freezing. It distance from the sun is about 299,000,000km. The earth average temperature is around 16 degree Celsius. But temperatures vary greatly around the world depending on the time of year, ocean and wind currents and weather conditions. Summers tend to be warmer and winters colder. Earth distance from the sun is 150,000,000km.
Mass :- the mass of Mars is about one tenth that of the earth
Gravity:- the gravity on mars is about one third of the earth. Thus if you weigh about 120 Ibs on earth you will weigh 40 Ibs on mars
